[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide managed assigned counsel coordinator services to develop and adopt standards for the provision of defense services to indigent defendants to the government authority located in Southfield, MI.
• Recruiting attorneys that meet the minimum qualifications, including training requirements, to provide indigent defense
• Ensure that court appointed attorneys meet state indigent defense commission minimum qualifications and adhere to training requirements
• Schedule all attorneys to provide coverage for in-custody, scheduled and walk-in arraignments and all misdemeanour cases on the judges' dockets
• Represent defendants for arraignment dockets as needed to fill in for absent attorneys track initial interviews between court appointed attorneys and in-custody and out-of-custody defendants
• Monitor assigned cases and evaluate performance of assigned attorneys
• Prepare state indigent defense commission quarterly compliance reports utilizing existing templates and spread sheets
• Review defendants' petitions for court appointed counsel for accuracy and thoroughness
• Review and approve requests for expert witnesses and investigators for reasonableness and necessity
• Review and approve payment vouchers from attorneys, expert witnesses and investigators
• Perform other state indigent defense commission -related tasks as needed.
(2) The term of the contract will be one year.

- Onshore (USA Only);
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
