[A] Budget: Looking for proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide transportation master plan services to select a qualified transportation planning services Consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of its transportation system. The goal of the Project is to facilitate development of a multi-model network of roads, trails, pathways, sidewalks, transit services, and pedestrian facilities that adequately and innovatively supports existing and planned land uses of the City, and integrates and supports interconnectivity with the existing and planned regional transportation network, consultant will lead a process that combines technical analysis with public and stakeholder outreach that determines priorities over a 25-year time horizon. The resulting plan will be delivered in an illustrative, easy to read format that is easily shared with City residents and other key constituents, transportation planning, urban planning, traffic engineering, traffic demand modeling, corridor analysis, transit studies and other related services as needed to achieve an equitable plan that will promote the City’s community and economic development goals.
1. Review and incorporation of previous planning efforts
2. Review of transportation planning and facilities in neighbouring communities, as well as regional plans from SEMCOG Road Commission for County, MDOT and others
3. Compilation of existing transportation data and assessment of additional data needed to perform planning
4. Collection of additional transportation data, as needed, to support planning process
5. Develop a public outreach and involvement effort that gathers meaningful input and provides the public opportunities to respond to draft recommendations
a. Work with the City to regularly use of the City’s website and social media platforms to help bring about awareness to the project and to gather input.
b. Hold a public meeting together input on plan goals and needs
c. Meet with key stakeholders in the community including representatives from groups such as the School Districts, Older Persons Commission, Traffic and Safety Advisory Committee, Pathways Committee,
d. Hold a second public meeting to present draft plan
Provide a summary of future trends with analysis specific to the City regarding potential impacts on the City’s transportation network, including but not limited to connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles, ride-sharing, intelligent transportation systems, dynamic messaging, etc.
- GIS maps, including existing City pathway and road related maps to the government authority located in Rochester Hills, MI.
(2) All question must be submitted no later than June 4, 2019.
(3) The contract term will be for one year.
