[A] Budget: Looking for proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide insurance broker and consulting services to the government authority located in Waterford, MI.
- Act as an insurance advisor and provide ongoing professional advice and recommendations that benefit the County;
- Provide an annual written report to the County of significant changes and trends in the insurance market and provide an annual forecast of market conditions;
- Monitor financial information and strength of current insurers and alert the County when the status of one or more of such insurers falls below minimum financial guidelines;
- Advise the county of emerging areas of exposure and potential insurance coverage if available i.e., cyber risk, environmental;
- Analyze deductible and self-insured retention levels, coverage, and recommend appropriate policy limits, terms and conditions;
- Work with insurance carriers to design policies and programs most advantageous to the county for coverage of exposures, policy forms, exclusions, deductibles self-insured retentions, coordination with other policies, premiums and other pertinent factors;
- Market existing or new insurance coverage, including preparation of marketing submissions and development of coverage specifications as approved by the county.
- Secure quotations for new or specialized insurance programs;
- Market insurance program annually if requested by the county’s risk manager;
- Provide quotations to the County no less than thirty days prior to expiration of policies;
- Advise of all markets approached and provide copies of all declination letters and premium quotations received;
- Provide a detailed review of all proposals including a summary of premiums, proposed coverage, specimen policy forms and outline any deficiencies or benefits of the proposals compared to the current or recommended insurance program;
- Provide detailed summaries of coverage for each insurance policy including policy limits, exclusions, enhancements, insuring agreements, exposure basis and annual premiums;
- Assist in processing of insurance claims and litigation above any deductible self-insured retention, including the filing of all claim forms; maintain detailed records on claims submitted and provide status reports as requested;
- Ensure that insurance carrier loss adjusters have necessary contacts and are appointed in a timely manner;
- Provide quarterly loss exhibits, reports and statistical risk analysis in formats;
- Assist with coverage and claim disputes between the county and insurance carrier;
- Provide loss control services and consulting services on specific issues.
- Provide or arrange for property appraisal services.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than April 17, 2019.
(3) A contract term will be for three years.
