[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide consulting, planning and engineering services for communications systems as they relate to the electric utility industry with an emphasis on WAN infrastructure to support Smart Grid, ADMS applications, SCADA, mobile workforce and other aspects to the government authority located in Lansing, MI.
- Specifically, those areas include, but are not limited to, electric transmission and distribution, advance meter initiatives, outage management systems, fault detection, distribution automation, distributed generation, remote telemetry, remote system monitoring and analytics, and mobile workforce communications.
- Provide consulting and engineering services in the planning and engineering phases for establishing an overall operations technology wide area network.
- Assist with the investigation of various equipment & technologies and how they may or may not be useful to the BWL and its WAN objectives.
- Assist with locating and contacting contractors, service providers and vendors for service and equipment.
- Provide oversight of contractors and vendors for, and during, conducting trials and field tests.
- Provide a roadmap for the implementation of the services requested including annual funding and resource planning to complete the project over a specified time period.
- Suggest projects and considerations for future and expansion and longevity of the system.
- Provide documentation on all aspects of each phase of the project.
- Provide other consulting and engineering services related to the project as requested.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than December 7, 2018.
