Government authority located in Chesterfield, Michigan; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for IT management and network administration services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide IT management and network administration services including 24 hours of onsite engineer support, IT management, Network Administration, Hardware Support, Software Support, End User Support, and Network Device Support including 24/7 monitoring, Help Desk, Anti-Virus, and Anti-SPAM to the government authority located in Chesterfield, MI.
- Provide hardware support for all servers, switches, routers, firewalls, workstations, printers, and other network devices for all the Chesterfield Township general offices and DPW buildings and departments.
- Provide 24 hours per week On-site support by Level 3 System Engineer.
- On-site 24 hours per week support will be provided three dedicated days a week.
- Provide software support for operating systems, server applications, and desktop applications like BS and A and other government software for all the Chesterfield Township general offices and DPW buildings and departments.
- Recommend and enhance the use of technology throughout all Chesterfield Township buildings and departments.
- The selected vendor must provide an application for 24x7 remote monitoring with alerts to help in the discovery and diagnosis of potential network problems.
- The selected vendor must be able to provide on call support for critical network outages. This support may be performed remotely or on-site. The main objective is to resolve the network outage as soon as possible 24/7.
- Duties Required:
- IT Management/Network Administration.
- Project Management.
- 24 x 7 remote monitoring.
- Manage external IT vendors, including support contracts for items such as network electronics, hardware, and software licensing.
- Develop and nurture relationships with outside vendors/subcontractors to ensure prompt and efficient response to troubleshooting, maintenance, and support issues.
- Develop and nurture relationships with local/county/state agencies to ensure compliance, troubleshoot or maintain system functionality.
- Develop and nurture relationships with software and systems manufacturers.
- Evaluate proposed IT projects to assess adequacy of existing hardware and recommend purchase of new equipment and software as required.
- Design a security policy and ensure passwords are up-to-date and properly assigned.
- Record and investigate any security breach and provide additional security protection to correct any security deficiencies identified by Chesterfield Township or selected Vendor.
- Prohibit unauthorized access to confidential or proprietary information.
- Monitor system operations and identify operational problems as they occur.
- Maintain backups of all data, test backups, and restore data as required.
- Make necessary modification to router, firewall and wireless access point configurations to support operating needs.
- Work occasional nights/weekends for installation/upgrade of new/existing systems.
(2) Contract period will be for three years.
