Government Authority located in Detroit, Michigan; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for benefits consultant services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide benefits consultant services include strategic planning, negotiation of insurance programs, procurement of insurance products, recommendations on plan design, assistance with plan administration, and cost and trend reporting of the county airport authority benefits program to the government authority located in Detroit, MI.
- The airport authority currently offers medical, dental, optical, life, disability, and supplemental insurance programs for its employees
- Assist the airport authority with the management of its benefits program, benefits consulting, insurance broker services and communications
- Assist with objective setting, strategic planning and development of long-range goals
- Advise and assist the airport authority in plan design alternatives
- Advise the Airport Authority on potential gaps or overlaps in coverages
- Perform plan evaluations and cost effectiveness analysis
- Provide local and national market trends, advise the airport authority on changing benefit issues and experience trends
- Conduct cost utilization and cost analysis reports; provide annual review and report of employee benefits programs for quality and adequacy of benefits provided and assist the airport authority in how best to utilize services and limit premium increases
- Assist the airport authority with reviewing claims data and determining premium impact of any coverage changes
- Provide transparent disclosure of any commissions or fees received from insurance companies
- Provide materials related to employee benefits programs designed to increase employee awareness of benefit plan options based upon bargaining unit
- Provide and implement a comprehensive plan for the dissemination of benefits information and materials to employees at multiple work site location, as well as retirees
- Provide training in the area of benefits and compliance with new state and federal law, as necessary
- Prepare bid specifications and solicit proposals from insurance markets which specialize in group insurance plans as needed
- Provide customer service and assist staff and employees in problem resolution with providers, billing, advocacy for services, disputes, interpretation of services, changes, etc
(2) All question must be submitted no later than June 12, 2019.
(3) Contract period will be for three years.
[C] Eligibility:
- Onshore (USA Only);
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
