[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide legal counsel services to serve as an on-duty arraignment attorney for indigent adult criminal offenders at first appearance,
- Scheduled arraignments, in custody video arraignments, and walk-in arraignments,
- Representation includes the arraignment on the original complaint and warrant,
- Meet with client prior to arraignment to discuss charges and the possible penalties associated with the charges,
- Obtain information, pertinent to pretrial release, such as, criminal history, residency and employment,
- Provide a clear and concise explanation of the criminal justice system,
- Advocate for client pretrial release to the government authority located in Livonia, MI.
(2) A contract term will be for one year.
